Mystery Coin Strike Terms

Last updated: January 7, 2026

1. Overview of Mystery Coin Strikes

Certifium's Mystery Coin Strike feature allows users to purchase certified numismatic coins through a randomized selection process. When you participate in a "strike," you pay a fixed USDC amount for a vault tier, and receive a certified coin randomly selected from that tier's inventory.

Each vault tier contains coins of varying values, grades, and rarities. The coin you receive is determined by real-time random selection from available inventory at the moment of your strike.

2. Odds and Probability Disclosure

The probability distribution displayed for each vault tier represents the likelihood of receiving a coin within specific value ranges. These odds are:

  • Calculated in real-time based on current vault inventory
  • Subject to change as coins are struck and inventory is replenished
  • Estimates only — actual outcomes may vary from displayed probabilities
  • Based on fair market values at time of inventory acquisition

The "Expected Value" shown represents the weighted average value of coins in that tier, based on current inventory composition. Individual strike outcomes will vary.

3. Market Value Disclaimer

Coin values displayed on Certifium are determined by:

  • Recent auction results from major numismatic auction houses
  • Comparable sales data from eBay, Heritage Auctions, and other marketplaces
  • NGC and PCGS population reports and price guides
  • Professional dealer pricing and wholesale market data

Market values fluctuate. The value of numismatic coins can change based on precious metal spot prices, collector demand, population changes, and overall market conditions. Past performance does not guarantee future value.

4. No Investment Advice

⚠️ Certifium does not provide investment, financial, tax, or legal advice.

Mystery Coin Strikes are intended for entertainment and numismatic collecting purposes. Participation should not be considered an investment strategy. You should not spend more than you can afford to lose, and should consult qualified professionals before making any investment decisions.

5. Instant Buyback Program

After completing a strike, you may be offered an "Instant Buyback" option:

  • Buyback offers are set at 90% of the coin's Fair Market Value (FMV)
  • Accept immediately after strike or sell back to the Certifium vault anytime
  • Buyback is processed in USDC to your connected wallet
  • Once accepted, the buyback cannot be reversed
  • Not all coins may be eligible for instant buyback

6. Randomization and Fairness

Certifium uses cryptographically secure on-chain randomization (EMSE algorithm) to determine strike outcomes. This system ensures:

  • Results cannot be predicted or manipulated by Certifium or any third party
  • Each strike is independently random from all other strikes
  • Randomization is verifiable on the blockchain

7. Authentication and Grading

All coins available through Mystery Coin Strikes are:

  • Professionally graded and encapsulated by NGC, PCGS, or ANACS
  • Verified authentic through third-party certification
  • Stored in secure, insured vault facilities
  • Registered on the blockchain with immutable ownership records

8. Eligibility and Restrictions

By participating in Mystery Coin Strikes, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age (or the legal age in your jurisdiction)
  • You are not located in a jurisdiction where such participation is prohibited
  • You have completed any required identity verification (KYC)
  • You understand and accept these terms
